If you are a regular reader of Truly Alive Magazine, you might remember that in my previous articles, that I compare the body to a container and ask the question: “What’s In Your Container?” (Meaning what has been in it, or is accumulating in your body?) The other article was about “energy” and asked, “Do you have any? If not, why not?”
Energy: Athletes come in to me dragging, complaining about lack of energy. Previously, they out-performed their peers and multi-task effortlessly. They feel good when they exercise, then crash afterwards. The rules for health are the same for everyone, even people with a good constitutions like doctors, nurses, lawyers, gymnasts, athletes, dentists, engineers. Some people seem to be able to succeed in spite of following any rules for good health.
Then, all of a sudden something happens. A symptom shows up, serious or not so serious, but noticeable enough to seek help. So off they go to get tested/evaluated. Either the testing finds nothing wrong (so it must be in your head or you are seeking attention), OR something if found so serious that it requires immediate attention or you are going to die!
Toxicity is the root of all health issues! If you don’t address toxicity first (it’s like an animal chasing its tail), you are going nowhere and spinning your wheels.
Two generations ago, the main go-to place for healing of any kind was the “enema”. The commonly seen red rubber hot water bottle hanging in the bathroom had many uses…warming your feet or chest for a chest cold, ice water inside for a fever etc. Back then, people knew the importance of a clean bowel. Now, enema bags are like dinosaurs, “extinct”. Not many today would think to do an enema to solve their health problems. Most take a pill. Toxicity – the accumulation of waste products that have not left your body – compounded by a lifetime of ignoring this natural act of elimination is most often the root cause.
You can do all kinds of natural health practices like massage, Rolfing, exercise, herbal remedies, etc., but if you don’t pay attention to helping the colon move out the bad things that are stirred up by the good things, “you are just rearranging the furniture”. You will free up energy flow temporarily, while the toxins resettle someplace else.
The large intestine (colon) and lung are an energetically paired system according to Chinese medicine…so lung problems are a colon problem first (stagnation/constipation). The same holds true for tonsils and sinus issues…it’s the other end of the tube. UTIs are also a colon problem first. The prostate, uterus, and ovaries are wrapped in the “arms” of the colon. Diabetes is an acid problem. Sugar seems so sweet and innocent but is acidic and acid wreaks havoc in our bodies; eating away at things. If acid eats away at the myelin sheath, it’s called MS or Parkinson’s. If it is eroding the bones/joints, it’s called arthritis or bursitis. If it’s causing your adrenals to be on constant alert, it’s chronic fatigue. If it’s buried in our muscles or connective tissues, it’s fibromyalgia.
The body is always trying to protect itself. When we choose not to follow the rules of good health, it must compensate. Compensation for an over-acidic condition = robbing minerals from where they are plentiful and easiest to pull from (the bones). That’s why there are so many replacement surgeries today.
Eliminating acidic foods, thoughts, and emotions are key. Then assist your body in eliminating acidic overloads by reintroducing what the old-timers knew worked: enemas daily or colonics weekly. Change your health for the better right now. You can live in good health without pain, fatigue or sleeplessness (all related to toxicity).
My desire for you is as always: take charge, be healthy, live long and be well!
Love, Bill
