You may have heard the term horse whisperer or dog whisperer. There are a couple of people who come to mind…Buck Brannaman, Monte Roberts, or Cesar Milan. The first two are horse trainers, (or horse gentlers), and Cesar is known as the Dog Whisperer. Breaking wild horses used to be a very cruel process until these two gentlemen came up with a new approach. By watching horses in the wild, they learned the language of the horse through observation. Instead of breaking the horse’s spirit, they earned the horses’ trust and respect and worked with them instead of dominating them. Cesar Milan learned the language of the dog and communicates it to fellow humans so they can get results they want without frustrating the dog or breaking its spirit.

I have been observing and learning the language of colons for 30 plus years. It has taught me a lot! In my first 20 or 30 years of life, I didn’t pay too much attention to bodily functions as long as my body was doing what I asked it to do. When my body did not do as I expected it to because of colds, flu, migraines, diarrhea, vomiting, constipation, asthma, tonsillitis, appendicitis, chronic fatigue, etc., I began to pay attention more…but I still did not understand the language of my body.

Fast forward to age 33 when my health seriously broke down and I couldn’t find answers in western medicine. After receiving a referral to a psychiatrist, I abandoned traditional medical help. (My problems were mental and emotional according to them.)

Luckily, I was able to find a holistic practice in Tucson where I lived at the time. I began getting my health, vitality and stamina back through lifestyle changes, dietary changes, juicing, herbal cleansing, homeopathy, flower essences, essential oil therapy, chiropractic, acupuncture, dentistry, massage, cranial sacral work, crystal therapy, fasting, and more. I had the best energy and creativity for three years. Then things began changing for the worst. I couldn’t imagine what was wrong! I was doing great things for my health that I’d learned and applied, but I was getting sicker and sicker. The holistic community couldn’t figure out what was happening to me either. Finally, the thought occurred to me; I might be doing too many healing things and my body was detoxifying faster than my organs of elimination could handle. They were overloaded, overwhelmed and were ready to give up. This is when I discovered colonics. Thank you, Norman Walker for your book Colon Health. Receiving colonics set me on the path of restoring my health – permanently. I would have died without it. My body was drowning in its own filth with toxic overload. My first colonic was amazing as I watched what was leaving my body and felt the waves of sickness as the streams of toxins left me. Some of the releases were hot and dense like a lava flow. No wonder I was so sick.

Because of my very personal experience of being extremely ill (from depletion with no energy to detoxify); then being over energized and releasing into my circulatory system more toxins than my body could keep up with, it makes me and those I’ve trained excellent communicators with the colon.
